Diane has been an active member of “Team AG” since early 2013. Diane’s accreditation career began as a director at the Fort Myers Community Hospital in Florida. This challenging, but worthwhile experience, prepared her to serve as COO of an in-patient/out-patient mental health center and crisis unit.
During her tenure there, the center experienced a sentinel event during an on-site visit by accreditation reviewers. Fortunately, the center thoroughly prepared for the post-mortem procedure and the reviewers observed the center’s staff successfully address one of Diane’s saddest work experiences.
After her time at the mental health center, Diane opened her own accreditation consulting company to assist agencies pursuing accreditation with COA, Joint Commission and/or CARF. These fulfilling nine years fueled her interest and passion in this field and she regards her role helping agencies achieve national accreditation to be an honor.
Throughout her career, Diane has been fortunate to interact with amazing mentors who encouraged her development. This continues with her work at Accreditation Guru. She and Jennifer met via Skype through a mutual friend and developed a close bond over their shared dedication to the field.
In Diane’s spare time, she likes to read, work on needlepoint and interact with friends. She shares a special bond with Amy, her golden retriever. Amy, a rescue dog, had been left behind by her previous owners and was in need of her fur-ever home. A perfect match, Diane and Amy spend time vacationing with friends and often stroll on the beach. Amy is always excited to see Diane after she returns from her accreditation work trips. To this day, Diane considers the decision to bring Amy into her life to be one of the best she ever made.
